As Content Director for MBC Strategic, Michael is focused on helping clients build their brands through thought leadership and compelling financial content. Through a combination of content strategy, investment research and good old-fashioned storytelling, Michael helps institutions, intermediaries and individual investors to easily understand some of the world’s most complex financial topics. As an economist and retirement expert, he knows how to develop intelligent, impactful content for a full range of audiences. His depth of experience at companies such as Fidelity, Charles Schwab and Wells Fargo give him a broad perspective of the financial industry. Michael is also a former foreign correspondent, having reported for Bloomberg, MarketWatch and UPI from wars in Central America; the economic crises in Cuba, Brazil and Mexico, to the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska.
Michael received a B.A. in Journalism and International Relations from the University of Southern California, an MBA from Columbia University in New York, and a Master of Science in Economics from the Université de Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne. He is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of French.
