Challenge

STRATA Trust is an alternative asset custodian that allows financial professionals and individuals to diversify their retirement portfolios by including alternative assets like private equity, private debt, crowdfunding investments and real estate. An established firm with a presence in select markets, they were seeking to grow their market share and brand awareness. With a superior offering and service relative to other alternative IRA custodial platforms, they needed assistance delineating their value proposition across the needs of both retail and institutional audiences. 

Strategy

Our partnership began with a focus on understanding STRATA’s value and how it was differentiated from their competitive set. With a deep dive into their brand, values and target audiences, we were able to form a differentiated B2B messaging strategy and brand positioning that was both unique to their space and resonated across their audiences of investment professionals and sponsors. From there we took this new messaging and helped build it out consistently through their B2B marketing materials, digital and print advertising, website and other client touch points.

Results

As we shifted to an ongoing marketing role for both B2B and B2C, we helped bring their story and value proposition to life through advertising, PR and content marketing. This included B2B investment advertising strategy and campaigns, content marketing and syndication, social networking and public relations. Efforts provided success in a significant uptick in web traffic, lead generation from adverting efforts and PR placements in media outlets such as U.S. News and World Report and Forbes. In addition, advertising and marketing efforts for the alternative asset service provider resulted in significantly higher engagement and brand awareness.
