Challenge

A longstanding client, Oak Associates approached MBC in 2024 for a new firm website to replace an old content management system and refresh the design. They needed a website that could effectively serve multiple and distinct audience segments while showcasing their comprehensive mutual fund and SMA offerings. The firm needed a modern design build plus dynamic investment features with automated performance and data feeds and tailored user experiences for their three core audiences: institutional investors, financial advisors, and individual investors. The challenge was to balance technical functionality with an engaging, intuitive interface that would strengthen Oak Funds’ market position.

 

 

 

Strategy

Our approach centered on creating modern design foundation that also framed a segmented user experience that delivers relevant content based on audience type. We implemented an audience-selection gateway that directs visitors to customized content pathways designed for institutional investors, advisors, or individual investors.

The site also includes automated performance data and file management features that ensure all fund information remains current and compliant. To enhance visual engagement, we developed a distinctive design system using natural elements that reference the Oak Associates brand while maintaining a high level of sophistication. The content strategy focused on clear articulation of Oak’s unique dual concentrated investment process.

results

The new Oak Funds website launched in early 2025. The segmented approach was designed to streamline engagement and focus and align the firm’s content approach with user needs.

The website now serves as both an effective marketing tool and a valuable resource for existing clients. The results since launch showed immediate and significant increases in events, page views and user engagement–all up over 75%.
