MBC Strategic Receives 2022 Gramercy Institute Asset Management Marketing Award for Branding

November 25, 2022, Boston, MA – MBC Strategic has been awarded Gramercy Institute’s Asset Management Marketing Award for their branding work for The London Company—an institutional value equity asset manager based in Virginia. MBC is honored to receive this award for investment management branding strategy and design execution, and is proud to share recognition with each company nominated.

The London Company and MBC are looking forward to sharing the stage with other category winners such as Vanguard, State Street Global Advisors, MFS Investment Management, Alliance Bernstein, Morgan Stanley and Invesco at the award ceremony at Gramercy Institute’s Financial Marketer’s Forum in Boston on December 8th.

With a brand personality and voice focused on dedication, sophistication, and confidence, MBC created a visual journey immersing users in the firm’s unconventional quality and the subsequent long-term value it creates. Their new primary logo is a combination mark representing two overlapping sails—paying homage to the firm’s navigational and directional investment style. The new logo coupled with modern serif lettering connects the firm’s long history with its modern look and process. The new color palette is sophisticated, featuring a dark blue, rich yellow, and bright accent colors. Brand imagery seen throughout the site enhances the meaning of content and messaging through impactful perspectives, strong light sources, and single focal points.

The branding project also included a complete rework of the firm’s decks, fact sheets and sales support materials. The asset management branding strategy and design were meant to embody and articulate the firm’s truly elevated stock selection approach and differentiated quality value investment process. Building off this core strategy, the design team began creating an online visual journey across an engaging website, interactive strategy pages and straightforward brand storytelling.
