MBC Strategic Wins Five 2020 MarCom Awards for Investment and Financial Branding

MBC Strategic is honored to have been recognized by the MarCom Awards this year as leaders in digital marketing communications after receiving five awards.  The awards reflect industry peer recognition for excellence in financial and investment marketing and branding across a variety clients. The 2020 award-winning investment marketing campaigns ranged from a new website for a RIA, rebranding a real estate investment firm, an investment banking brand and website and an institutional equity asset management firm rebrand. The MarCom Awards recognize high-quality work across firms of all sizes by highlighting outstanding creative achievement in marketing, communications, branding, websites and print materials. Judged and administered by industry peers and influencers, the MarCom Awards are part of the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. Since its inception in 2004, MarCom has become one of the largest, most-respected creative competitions in the world.

WNC is a national real estate investment firm with a focus on affordable housing, offering private equity funds, tax credit investment opportunities, and community redevelopment strategies. The firm approached MBC to update their brand and create a website and marketing materials that showcase their services through modern design and imagery.

After speaking with key stakeholders, MBC gained a sense of the passion the firm felt for what they do and saw a unique opportunity to create impactful brand storytelling. The final website incorporated an easy-to-navigate experience with easy-to-decipher structuring, along with intuitive responsiveness and user-friendly animations in both the navigation bar and throughout the site.

The Cooper Housing Institute (CHI) was founded in 2018 by the Cooper family whose commitment to affordable housing spans 50 years. The Cooper family founded CHI out of passion and as a nonprofit that strives to make housing a priority in the United States. The Institute supports research that focuses on the root causes of the shortage of affordable housing and chronic homelessness across the nation. MBC Strategic helped CHI with a new website in 2020.

Institutional equity asset manager Polen Capital approached MBC Strategic with the goal of conveying a better essence of who they are as a firm by modernizing their design and messaging to reflect their three decades of experience with growth equities. It was important for Polen to elevate their commitment to quality and demonstrate that their dedication extends beyond their work as investment managers. In collaboration with Polen Capital, the MBC Strategic team helped them to tell their story while capturing the firm’s personality and voice. The new brand and Polen Capital website launched in January 2020 and was awarded the highest level of Platinum from MarCom.

MBC Strategic was also awarded the top honor of Platinum for this rebrand of the investment advisory firm HCR Wealth Advisors. The project provided HCR with a framework for firm marketing, tools for business development, and a compelling story to reach their target audience, elevating the firm’s value proposition, brand story, and top-level messaging.

HCR’s rebrand embodied a modern, inspirational aesthetic consistent across web and materials, highlighting HCR’s products and services and providing an enhanced user experience across multiple touch points.
